Bringing “Soccer for All” to Downtown Burbank
Watching the action was only part of the experience.
In partnership with Burbank Parks & Recreation, the Fan Zone’s Soccer for All activation area gave attendees the opportunity to get involved themselves.
The activation featured 13 interactive booths and activation areas, along with seven inflatable interactive games along San Fernando Boulevard.
Throughout the weekend, Burbank Parks & Recreation distributed 2,000 Fan Zone passports, encouraging visitors to explore the activities throughout the zone. Another 1,800 commemorative scarves were distributed to participants who visited the activation area, giving fans a special keepsake from the weekend.
The soccer pitch was busy, too.
Approximately 500 community members participated in soccer activities, alongside 35 Adaptive Sports athletes, reinforcing one of the most important themes of the weekend: soccer truly is for everyone.
